Salt River Veterinary Specialists is a newly expanded, state-of-the-art specialty veterinary hospital dedicated to providing advanced veterinary care in a clean, safe, and welcoming environment. We are seeking a dependable, detail-oriented Hospital Facilities & Environmental Services Technician to join our team.
This position is much more than housekeeping. You will be an integral member of our healthcare team, helping maintain an exceptional hospital environment for our patients, clients, and staff. The ideal candidate takes pride in their work, notices the small details, and enjoys creating a clean, organized, and welcoming space every day. Schedule
- Monday–Friday
- Approximately 30 hours per week
- Daytime schedule (hours may vary based on hospital needs)
Compensation
- Competitive hourly compensation based on experience and qualifications
Primary Responsibilities
Environmental Services
- Clean and disinfect exam rooms between patients
- Maintain treatment areas, hallways, reception, and common spaces throughout the day
- Spot mop spills and accidents promptly
- Empty trash and designated waste receptacles according to hospital protocols
- Clean glass doors, windows, and high-touch surfaces
Maintain client restrooms throughout the day
- Keep the lobby, coffee station, and public areas clean, organized, and welcoming
- Monitor the hospital continuously to ensure it reflects our high standards
Laundry & Linen Services
Wash, dry, fold, and organize hospital laundry
- Maintain towels, blankets, bedding, surgical linens, and mop heads
- Keep linen storage areas organized and fully stocked
Stocking & Organization
- Restock exam rooms and treatment areas
- Refill paper products, PPE, and housekeeping supplies
- Organize storage rooms and supply areas
- Receive deliveries and stock supplies
- Break down cardboard and assist with general organization
Facility Support
- Assist with kennel sanitation and cleanliness
- Sweep entrances and maintain exterior walkways as needed
- Identify and report maintenance concerns promptly
- Assist with special cleaning projects
- Support the hospital team with additional facility-related tasks as needed
Qualifications
We're looking for someone who:
- Is dependable, punctual, and takes pride in their work
- Has exceptional attention to detail
- Takes initiative and works independently without constant supervision
- Enjoys staying active and working in a fast-paced environment
- Is comfortable working around dogs and cats
- Can safely lift up to 50 pounds
- Demonstrates professionalism and a positive attitude
- Enjoys being part of a collaborative healthcare team
Preferred Qualifications
- Commercial cleaning experience
- Healthcare, dental, veterinary, or medical office cleaning experience
- Environmental Services (EVS) experience
- Knowledge of infection control and sanitation procedures
