Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and efficient Dishwasher to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in maintaining the cleanliness and organization of our kitchen and dining areas. This position is essential for supporting food preparation and service, ensuring that all dishes, utensils, and kitchen equipment are cleaned and sanitized to meet health and safety standards. Responsibilities
- Wash, rinse, and sanitize dishes, glassware, utensils, pots, and pans using commercial dishwashing equipment.
- Maintain cleanliness of the dishwashing area and kitchen by sweeping and mopping floors as needed.
- Assist with food preparation tasks as required, including basic food service duties.
- Ensure all items are properly stored after cleaning to maintain organization in the kitchen.
- Collaborate with cooks and other kitchen staff to ensure timely service during peak hours.
- Follow all health and safety regulations to ensure a clean working environment.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in food service or culinary environments is preferred but not required.
- Familiarity with restaurant operations or hotel catering services is a plus.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high standards of cleanliness.
- Strong attention to detail with a commitment to quality work.
- Ability to work as part of a team and communicate effectively with kitchen staff.
- Must be able to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 pounds as needed.
