Estech Systems, Inc. (ESI) develops communications and software solutions for businesses. Our
Software Engineering team works across established telecom applications and emerging AI
products, turning operational needs into reliable, usable tools for customers and internal teams.
POSITION SUMMARY
ESI is seeking a Full Stack Software Developer to join a small, collaborative team where developers contribute across the product lifecycle. This position will design and deliver complete features, from responsive user interfaces and API integrations to backend services, data models, automated testing, deployment support, and production troubleshooting.
The developer will initially support an AI-powered support assistant and an AI-powered call analytics platform. The role will also contribute to eConsole/Recon, CRM integrations, telecom utilities, and
other actively maintained applications. The best fit is a practical engineer who can move between existing systems and new product development and take ownership of work through release.
PRODUCT AREAS
- AI-powered support assistant: AI-assisted customer and technical support experiences,
including conversational interfaces, retrieval-augmented generation (RAG), tool and API
integrations, call-history features, voice and SIP workflows, analytics, and reliability
improvements.
- AI-powered call analytics platform: Customer-facing call analytics that captures recordings,
presents transcriptions, summarizes conversations, identifies sentiment, actions, and keywords, and supports search, reporting, and account administration.
- Core products and integrations: Telecom administration interfaces, authentication and
account workflows, REST services, HubSpot and other CRM integrations, API gateways,
phone-directory utilities, and automated end-to-end tests.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Develop, test, and maintain responsive web interfaces using modern JavaScript or TypeScript and React-based patterns.
- Design and implement secure REST APIs, backend services, scheduled jobs, webhooks, and
third-party integrations using Python and/or Node.js.
- Model, query, and maintain application data in MongoDB and other SQL or NoSQL data stores.
- Translate product requirements and operational problems into clear technical designs and
incremental deliverables.
- Integrate AI capabilities into production applications, including model APIs, RAG workflows,
prompt-driven analysis, and structured outputs, with attention to accuracy, privacy,
observability, and graceful failure.
- Build usable dashboards and data-heavy interfaces for call history, analytics, configuration, and administrative workflows.
- Create and maintain unit, integration, and end-to-end tests; participate in code reviews and
improve release confidence.
- Investigate defects across the browser, API, database, background-processing, and deployment layers; document root causes and durable fixes.
- Support application deployment and operations in Linux and containerized environments,
including logging, configuration, CI/CD, and production monitoring.
- Participate in Agile/Scrum activities, estimate work, communicate progress and blockers, and help maintain useful technical and product documentation.
- Collaborate with engineering, QA, product stakeholders, support teams, and external partners while taking ownership from development through validation and release.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Two to four years of professional software development experience, or equivalent evidence of delivering production-quality applications.
- Hands-on experience building frontend applications with JavaScript or TypeScript and a modern framework; React experience is strongly preferred.
- Backend development experience with Python, Node.js, or a comparable server-side language and framework.
- Experience designing, consuming, and troubleshooting REST APIs, JSON payloads, authentication, and third-party integrations.
- Working knowledge of database design and querying with MongoDB, another NoSQL database, and/or a relational database.
- Practical experience with Git, pull requests, code reviews, debugging, and automated testing.
- Ability to work effectively in a small team, manage competing priorities, ask good questions, and communicate technical topics clearly.
- Familiarity with Agile/Scrum practices and a willingness to contribute to planning, estimation, demonstrations, and retrospectives.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Experience with React, Vite, Material UI, data-grid components, or other modern frontend tooling.
- Experience with Flask, Express, Mongoose/PyMongo, background workers, scheduled tasks, or event-driven services.
- Exposure to AI application development, large language model APIs, RAG or vector search,
speech-to-text, summarization, or analytics workflows.
- Experience with Docker, Linux, cloud services, CI/CD pipelines, API gateways, logging,
monitoring, and production support.
- Experience with Cypress or other browser-based end-to-end testing tools.
- Experience integrating CRM or SaaS platforms such as HubSpot.
- Knowledge of telecom concepts such as SIP, call records, call routing, PBX systems, or real-time communications.
- Awareness of secure development practices for authentication, authorization, customer data, and audit logging.

SUCCESS IN THE FIRST 6-12 MONTHS
- Become productive in the team's React, Python, Node.js, MongoDB, API, testing, and deployment workflows.
- Deliver complete, tested features for the AI-powered support assistant, call analytics platform, or an active integration with decreasing supervision.
- Improve at least one area of reliability, automated testing, observability, documentation, or
deployment repeatability.
- Build strong working relationships with the development team, QA, and internal stakeholders.
- Demonstrate sound technical judgment when balancing delivery speed, maintainability, security, and customer impact.
