Job Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Diesel Mechanic to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing a wide range of maintenance and repair tasks on diesel engines, ensuring the highest level of safety and efficiency. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in diesel mechanics and have a passion for keeping heavy machinery running smoothly.
Responsibilities:
- Perform routine maintenance and repair tasks on diesel engines, including brake repairs, shock and strut replacements, and electrical system checks.
- Utilize power tools and equipment, such as cranes and HVAC systems, to complete tasks safely and efficiently.
- Troubleshoot and diagnose mechanical issues, and then develop and implement effective solutions.
- Maintain a clean and organized workshop, ensuring all tools and equipment are properly stored and secured.
- Provide excellent customer service, including communicating with customers about the status of their vehicles and offering solutions to meet their needs.
- Work collaboratively with other team members to ensure that all tasks are completed to the highest standard.
- Continuously improve knowledge and skills in diesel mechanics, staying up-to-date with the latest technologies and best practices.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in diesel mechanics, with a strong understanding of diesel engines and their components.
- Experience with brake repair, shock and strut replacements, and electrical system checks.
- Proficiency in the use of power tools and equipment, including cranes and HVAC systems.
- Ability to solder and weld as needed.
- Excellent customer service skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with customers and provide solutions to meet their needs.
- A strong commitment to safety and a willingness to follow all safety protocols.
- A high school diploma or equivalent is required, with some college or vocational training in diesel mechanics preferred.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $30.00 - $35.00 per hour
