Responsibilities
- Provide professional massage therapy sessions including deep tissue massage, trigger point therapy, and other modalities tailored to individual client needs
- Conduct thorough patient assessments to understand their health history, current concerns, and treatment goals
- Educate clients on pain management strategies, physiology, and anatomy relevant to their condition
- Maintain detailed documentation of treatments, patient progress, and treatment plans in compliance with regulatory standards
- Ensure a safe and comfortable environment by adhering to occupational health and safety guidelines
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals or medical personnel when necessary for comprehensive patient care
- Deliver outstanding customer service by addressing client questions, scheduling appointments efficiently, and fostering a welcoming atmosphere
Experience
- Valid license as a Massage Therapist in accordance with state or local licensing requirements
- Proven experience in providing various massage techniques such as deep tissue massage and trigger point therapy
- Knowledge of human physiology, anatomy, and medical terminology relevant to therapeutic massage
- Prior experience working in a medical spa or clinical setting is highly desirable
- Strong patient service skills with the ability to assess individual needs accurately and develop effective treatment plans
- Familiarity with occupational health practices and maintaining compliance with health regulations
