Reports To: Maintenance Supervisor
Location: Midland, Texas (EWSO Midland Warehouse and Offices)
Amount of Travel Required: 30%
Work Schedule: 2/2 Schedule Rotational

POSITION SUMMARY: The person in this position learns and performs tasks associated with the maintenance and repair of fracturing equipment by performing the following duties. They will be responsible for performing repairs and scheduled maintenance on all equipment at the in-basis shop location.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: (The following duties and responsibilities are all essential job functions, as defined by the ADA, except for those that begin with the word "may.")
Performs inspection of all mechanical equipment returning to the field.
Gauges fluids on all frac equipment.
Prepares, maintains, and repairs pumping and support equipment.
Works with Maintenance Supervisor to ensure they have parts needed to complete maintenance
Complete work orders and other paperwork as required to ensure all maintenance is logged and tracked at the direction of the Maintenance Supervisor.
Ensure good housekeeping standards are always met at the in-basin shop or test stand.
Perform proper oil sampling, post-failure strategies, and root-cause investigations.
Conducts work by following all safety rules, standard operating procedures, best practices, and workplace instructions.
Will ensure that all best practices and SOPs are followed and up-to-date mirroring in-basin work.
Assists with all testing equipment that is under the responsibility of the shop.
Performs other related duties as assigned to assist with successful operations and business continuity.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE LEVEL
High school graduate (preferred)
Relevant industry experience is needed
Heavy Equipment Technician certification preferred but not required. Dual certifications preferred
QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS, COMPETENCIES, AND ABILITIES
Ability to make appropriate judgment calls, if unsure contact shop supervision for guidance
Ability to make decisions in high pressure situations
Strong leadership and customer service skills
Mechanical knowledge of hydraulics components and circuits, ability to diagnose utilizing schematics
Understanding of ISO standards regarding oil sampling and report reading
Ability to focus on root cause fact finding and identify failure trends
Ability to build and execute on a post failure strategy
Cam diagnose and repair electrical circuits with aid of Electrical Dept
Ability to work in a team environment with interpersonal communication skills – written and oral
Strong ability to organize daily tasks and work within defined timelines to meet operational requirements
Proven ability to perform confidently, accurately, professionally, and thoroughly in a fast-paced detail-oriented environment while supporting all management decisions
Able to respond quickly and professionally to Field Operations observations and recommendations on safety and maintenance issues.

Maintenance Techs are frequently required to walk, sit, climb, reach, bend, crawl, lift, balance, stoop, handle materials, and squat/kneel. The employee must regularly lift and move up to 49 pounds and occasionally lifts and moves up to one hundred (100) pounds with a team lift.
Maintenance Techs work indoors/outdoors, frequently during inclement weather, while performing labor intensive duties. The work environment includes exposure to hazardous materials and operating conditions. Given these conditions employees are required to wear company mandated personal protective equipment and must strictly adhere to safety policy.
Work hours may include early morning, late afternoon/evening hours, and weekends in any combination depending on job demands. The work schedule can also require extended out-of-town assignments for two to three weeks at a time.
This position requires the employee to work within a team concept to successfully complete assigned tasks. It is essential that the Mechanic take instruction well and interact with other employees in a positive manner within the framework of assigned work groups.
Work hours may include or includes early morning, late evenings, and weekends, depending on business necessity.
