Job Summary
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to join our dynamic healthcare team. Responsibilities
- Assist patients with activities of daily living such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility to promote independence and comfort.
- Take and record vital signs accurately, including blood pressure, temperature, pulse, and respiration rates, ensuring timely documentation in electronic health record (EHR) systems.
- Support clinical procedures such as catheter care, wound care, and specimen collection (including phlebotomy) following aseptic techniques and infection control protocols.
- Observe and report changes in patient condition or behavior to nursing staff promptly to facilitate appropriate interventions.
- Help with patient transfers using equipment like Hoyer lifts and assist with positioning to prevent pressure ulcers or discomfort.
- Maintain a clean and safe environment by adhering to infection prevention standards and ensuring proper medical documentation.
- Engage with patients across diverse settings including long-term care facilities, assisted living communities, hospitals (including ICU and trauma centers), hospice care, pediatric units, behavioral health facilities, and home care environments.
Requirements
- Valid CNA certification from an accredited program with current licensure in the relevant state or region.
- Demonstrated experience working with diverse patient populations such as seniors, individuals with developmental disabilities, dementia or Alzheimer’s disease, memory care needs, or behavioral health conditions.
- Familiarity with EMR/EHR systems like Epic, Cerner, eClinicalWorks or similar platforms for accurate medical documentation.
- Knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and basic life support (BLS) procedures.
- Prior experience in healthcare settings such as hospitals (including Level I Trauma Centers), nursing homes, sub-acute or post-acute care facilities is highly desirable.
- Ability to work effectively in fast-paced environments like emergency medicine units or urgent care clinics while maintaining attention to detail.
- Strong caregiving skills combined with excellent communication abilities to collaborate seamlessly with multidisciplinary teams.
