Job Summary
The lead diet clerk oversees the patient dining associate during meal service, coordinate s patient meal services, ensures dietary compliance and manages day to day tasks in the diet office . Act as a crucial link between dietitians, nurses, and food service staff to uphold patient safety, satisfaction and compliance with dietary standards and regulations.
Responsibilities
Include entering patient dietary information, communicate with doctors, nurs es and dietitian s , review s tray tickets for accuracy, print tray tickets, nourishment labels, tallies and other reports, completes all require d documents related to meal tracking , assist on tray line and stock tray line refrigerators . Trains new patient dining associate s and diet clerks.
Core Duties Processes all patient diet orders, reviews and prints tray tickets , tallies and nourishment labels for all patients each meal , print s all needed reports for all areas of the kitchen , assists tray line with building trays and stocking refrigerators , works with and trains new patient dining associates and diet clerks, answers phone and handles concerns, and work any and all areas as assigned.
Proficient in computer skills , CBORD menu system and Cerner .
This role requires clear and effective communication skills, strong organizational and customer service skills and the ability to multi task .
Ability to effectively resolve concerns with doctor s , nurses and family member who call with issu e s.

- Specific scheduling requirements 12 hours days, every other weekend and holiday
- 40 hour work weeks - 12 hours day with every other weekend and holiday
- Physical environment lifting, standing and sitting
- 1 year of Hospital or Health Care environment performing Diet Office duties and related assignments.
