About the Role
The Senior Superintendent will lead field operations for large-scale industrial and mission critical construction projects. This role is responsible for overseeing all on-site construction activities, coordinating multi-trade craft labor, subcontractors and vendors, ensuring compliance with budget, schedule and quality standards, and fostering a safe working environment.
Responsibilities
- Plan, coordinate, and oversee all daily field operations from mobilization through close-out.
- Establish and maintain the construction look-ahead schedule, communicate upcoming trade activities, and update the project team on status and risks.
- Coordinate and manage subcontractor scope, manpower, tools, equipment, materials and inspections.
- Enforce site safety protocols, conduct pre-installation safety reviews, and lead daily toolbox talks.
- Monitor jobsite productivity, labor usage, cost tracking, and change order documentation.
- Review drawings, specs and contract documents; ensure field execution meets design intent, code requirements and quality expectations.
- Maintain daily logs, manpower reports, site conditions, RFI and submittal tracking.
- Facilitate and attend site meetings, communicate regularly with project management, clients and inspectors.
- Respond to on-site issues, conflicts or emergencies and implement corrective actions.
- Support commissioning, punch-list and close-out processes; ensure owner/client hand-over is seamless.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 7+ years of construction supervisory experience on large commercial or industrial/warehouse projects (ground-up preferred).
- Demonstrated experience managing industrial or warehouse projects (major structural, slabs, MEP, large clear-span, tilt-up or steel).
- Proficiency reading/interpreting drawings, specifications and contract documents. Teal
- Strong scheduling and manpower coordination skills; experience with construction management tools/software.
- Solid knowledge of site safety regulations and a track record of ensuring compliance.
- Excellent leadership, communication and problem-solving skills; willingness to travel to project site(s) as required.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office and scheduling software; experience with platforms such as Procore or similar is preferred.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $120,000.00 - $165,000.00 per year
