Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and efficient Dishwasher to join our team in a fast-paced kitchen environment. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in maintaining cleanliness and organization within the kitchen, ensuring that all dishes, utensils, and cooking equipment are properly cleaned and sanitized. This position is essential for supporting our culinary team and enhancing the overall dining experience for our guests.
Responsibilities
- Wash and sanitize dishes, glassware, utensils, pots, and pans using commercial dishwashing equipment.
- Maintain cleanliness of the kitchen area by sweeping and mopping floors regularly.
- Organize and store clean dishes and kitchen equipment in designated areas.
- Dispose of waste properly and ensure recycling protocols are followed.
- Help maintain inventory of cleaning supplies and notify management when stock is low.
- Follow all food safety and sanitation guidelines to ensure a safe working environment.
Skills
- Previous experience in food service or hospitality is preferred but not required.
- Knowledge of basic culinary practices and food handling techniques is a plus.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Strong teamwork skills with the ability to communicate effectively with kitchen staff.
- Willingness to help with various tasks as needed, including catering events or special functions.
- Physical stamina to stand for long periods and lift heavy items when necessary.
