Job Summary
Join our dynamic hospitality team as a Hotel Night Auditor, where you will be the vital link between guest services and hotel operations during overnight hours. This energetic role involves ensuring the accuracy of daily financial transactions, maintaining guest satisfaction, and safeguarding the property through diligent monitoring. As a Night Auditor, you will serve as the first point of contact for late-night guests, providing exceptional customer service while managing administrative tasks that keep our hotel running smoothly through the night. Your enthusiasm and attention to detail will help create a welcoming and secure environment for all guests and staff.
Responsibilities
- Perform nightly audit procedures to verify and reconcile daily financial transactions using property management systems such as OPERA or similar platforms.
- Greet and assist guests arriving or departing during overnight hours with professionalism and warmth, ensuring a positive guest experience.
- Handle guest inquiries, requests, and complaints via phone and in person with excellent phone etiquette and customer service problem-solving skills.
- Maintain security by monitoring CCTV surveillance, conducting routine property checks, and adhering to hotel emergency procedures.
- Prepare detailed shift reports, incident logs, and audit documentation to ensure accurate record-keeping for management review.
- Coordinate with front desk staff to update reservation systems, manage check-ins/check-outs, and handle billing discrepancies efficiently.
- Support guest relations by providing information about hotel amenities, local attractions, and ensuring overall guest satisfaction during your shift.
Skills
- Proven experience in hospitality management or hotel operations with a strong understanding of front desk functions.
- Proficiency in hospitality reservation systems such as StayPMS, SPOG or comparable property management software (PMS).
- Multilingual or bilingual abilities are highly desirable to enhance guest communication across diverse populations.
- Excellent customer service skills with a focus on guest relations, problem-solving, and effective communication via phone and face-to-face interactions.
- Knowledge of hotel emergency procedures, security protocols, and night audit processes to ensure safety and compliance.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask efficiently during overnight shifts while maintaining attention to detail.
- Previous resort experience or familiarity with property management systems (PMS) is a plus for this energetic role.
