Job Overview
We are seeking a proactive and skilled Pipe Foreman to lead and coordinate pipe installation projects, ensuring safety, quality, and efficiency on construction sites. The Pipe Foreman will oversee a crew of workers, including available team members, and manage the installation of sanitary drainage systems, stormwater systems, underground utilities, and other pipeline projects. This role demands a strong understanding of construction plans, technical drawings, and heavy equipment operation to deliver successful project outcomes. The ideal candidate will bring energy, leadership, and technical expertise to drive productivity and uphold safety standards across all phases of utility system installation.
Duties
- Lead the pipe installation crew in executing underground utility and pipeline projects according to construction plans and technical drawings.
- Operate and oversee heavy equipment such as dozers, loaders, backhoes, excavators, forklifts, and front loader trucks to facilitate trenching, pipe laying, and site preparation.
- Ensure all work complies with federal construction safety regulations, safety regulations, and company policies to maintain a safe work environment.
- Interpret construction plans and blueprints related to sanitary sewers, stormwater systems, oil & gas pipelines, plumbing systems, and underground utilities installation.
- Coordinate utility trenching activities for sanitary drainage systems, stormwater management infrastructure, and other underground utility installations.
- Conduct utility locating using specialized equipment like pipe lasers and ensure accurate placement of underground utilities in accordance with project specifications.
- Supervise concrete forming processes for utility structures and ensure proper finishing techniques are followed.
- Collaborate with project managers to meet deadlines while maintaining high standards of quality and safety on site.
- Train crew members in heavy equipment operation, safety procedures, blueprint reading, and technical skills necessary for efficient project execution.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Pipe Foreman or similar supervisory role in construction or utility installation projects.
- Strong knowledge of heavy equipment operation including dozer, loader operation, backhoe operation, excavator use, forklift handling, and front loader trucks.
- Familiarity with construction plans reading, interpreting technical drawings related to sanitary sewers, stormwater systems, underground utilities installation, and pipeline projects.
- Ability to operate specialized tools such as pipe lasers for utility alignment and trenching equipment for utility installation.
- Experience with concrete finishing techniques for utility structures and sanitary sewer components.
- Knowledge of federal construction safety regulations and ability to enforce safety protocols effectively.
- Skills in utility locating using modern technology to prevent damage during excavation activities.
- Strong leadership qualities with the ability to supervise crews efficiently while maintaining a focus on safety standards.
- Construction site experience involving underground utilities installation for oil & gas or municipal infrastructure projects is preferred.

Pay: $35.00 - $50.00 per hour
