Office Manager / Producer

Position Summary
The Office Manager/Producer is responsible for driving new business production while overseeing the daily operations of the agency. This position combines sales leadership, customer service, office administration, and team support to ensure a productive, efficient, and customer-focused agency. The ideal candidate is a motivated sales professional with strong organizational skills who is committed to achieving agency growth goals while providing exceptional service to existing clients.
Primary ResponsibilitiesSales & Business Development
- Generate an agreed upon new business premium each month.
- Assist and support all agency producers in achieving a minimum of $20,000 in monthly production.
- Develop and maintain relationships with prospective clients through referrals, networking, and agency marketing efforts.
- Cross-sell insurance products to existing customers when appropriate.
- Maintain accurate documentation of all sales activities and client interactions.
Customer Service
- Service an existing book of business that will be transferred to the position.
- Provide prompt, professional customer service to policyholders.
- Process policy changes, renewals, endorsements, and customer requests.
- Assist clients with billing questions, claims support, and coverage reviews.
Office Management
- Manage the day-to-day operations of the agency office.
- Ensure office procedures and workflows operate efficiently.
- Support agency staff with administrative needs and operational processes.
- Maintain organized customer records and agency files.
- Assist with scheduling, reporting, and agency communications.
- Help maintain compliance with agency and company procedures.
Performance Management
- Participate in quarterly performance and sales goal review meetings.
- Work collaboratively with agency leadership to develop strategies for continued growth.
- Review compensation plans annually with agency management.
Compensation Base Salary
- Annual Salary: $65,000 and up based on experience
Sales Commission
Eligible Farmers Personal Lines new business earns commission based on the agency's tiered commission schedule.
- Commission structure is subject to change based on Farmers corporate compensation programs and agency management discretion.
Office Renewal Commission
- Receive a percentage of office renewal business. Commission structure to be discussed.
Benefits & Paid Time OffPaid Holidays
- Six (6) paid holidays annually.
Paid Time Off
- Year One: Three (3) weeks (15 days) combined Paid Time Off (vacation, sick leave, and personal time).
- Year Two and Beyond: Four (4) weeks of combined Paid Time Off.
- Vacation requests require prior management approval to ensure appropriate office coverage.
Schedule
- Full-time position.
- Forty (40) hours per week.
- Standard agency office hours unless otherwise approved.
Qualifications
Preferred qualifications include:
- Previous insurance agency experience preferred.
- Active Property & Casualty insurance license or ability to obtain one.
- Sales experience with demonstrated ability to meet production goals.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
- Strong organizational and time management abilities.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency with agency management systems and Microsoft Office applications.
