We are currently seeking a dependable and safety-oriented Material Handler to join our team at our Archbold facility, which specializes in the manufacturing of scaffolding products. This role plays a critical part in supporting both our Production Assembly and Paint Line departments by ensuring the efficient movement, storage, and distribution of materials throughout the facility. The primary responsibility of this position is operating a forklift and supplying production lines, while also supporting paint line operations during downtime to maintain production flow and efficiency.
- Operate a forklift daily to transport materials, components, and finished goods
- Provide material handling support for both the paint line and assembly areas
- Pull and deliver component parts for scaffolding jobs to appropriate production lines or work cells
- Monitor and maintain inventory accuracy
- Document and report damaged or non-conforming products
- Assist on the paint line during downtime, including staging, hanging, or handling materials as needed
- Support and maintain 5S standards throughout the facility
- Follow all safety protocols and contribute to a safe working environment
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs consistently without restrictions
- Must pass forklift certification and operate a forklift daily
- Prior forklift experience is required
- Basic computer literacy required; Epicor experience preferred
- Excellent attendance record
- Willingness to work in indoor and outdoor conditions as needed
- Flexibility to support paint line operations during slower forklift periods
Hourly Rate: $19.00 hour
