Position: Quality Engineer
Location: Frederick, MD
Salary: $80,000 - $90,000/year
Permanent/Direct Hire position
Job Overview:
- Develop, qualify, continuously improve, and document Quality processes and methods.
- Interface with Safety, Manufacturing Engineering, Sales, Design Engineering, and Production teams to ensure Quality and Business processes are capable of customer on-time delivery and satisfaction.
- Utilize Lean and Six Sigma methods and techniques to eliminate waste and reduce process variation of manufacturing, office, supplier performance, and field service processes and deliverables to improve quality, on-time delivery, reduce lead-time, and reduce costs.
- Lead projects to improve the quality of new products, processes and technologies throughout the organization.
- Develop methods, processes, and procedures to capture data for analysis to facilitate quality improvements.
- Compliance of ISO 9001:2015 program.
- Conduct formal assessments of internal and external processes.
- Coordinate company internal activities for the resolution of customer complaints and concerns.
- Prepare and maintain corrective and preventive actions for quality opportunities.
Job Requirements | Qualifications:
- BS in Mechanical, Industrial, Quality Engineering or equivalent experience
- 3+ years of experience in Quality Systems
- Experience with ISO 9001:2015 processes and procedures
- Experience in complex quality initiatives including new product development
- Strong verbal and written communication skills including good persuasion skills
- Experience with problem-solving and corrective action development and management with a teamwork approach and customer relationship. Statistical techniques, Process Control charts, data collection and analysis for problem resolution.
Preferred Certifications:
- ASQ QE Certification
- ASQ Auditor Certification
- Lean Sigma Black Belt
