Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled Lead HVAC Installer to oversee and execute complex heating, ventilation, and air conditioning installations. This role requires a strong foundation in construction, HVAC systems, and mechanical knowledge, with the ability to lead a team and ensure projects are completed efficiently and to high standards. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in service technician roles, HVAC design, plumbing, refrigeration, and related fields. A valid driver’s license is required for this position. The Lead HVAC Installer will play a critical role in delivering quality workmanship on commercial and residential projects while maintaining safety and compliance standards.
Responsibilities
- Lead and coordinate HVAC installation projects from start to finish, ensuring adherence to schematics, blueprints, and HVAC design specifications
- Supervise and mentor installation team members, providing guidance on technical procedures and safety protocols
- Install, service, and repair HVAC systems including air conditioning units, boilers, refrigeration systems (including ammonia refrigeration), and other mechanical equipment
- Read and interpret schematics, technical drawings, and wiring diagrams to facilitate accurate installations
- Perform plumbing connections related to HVAC systems and ensure proper integration with existing property infrastructure
- Conduct equipment repair and maintenance tasks as needed to ensure optimal system performance
- Utilize tools such as ohmmeters for electrical testing and troubleshooting of HVAC components
- Operate welding equipment when necessary for custom fabrication or repairs
- Ensure all work complies with local codes, safety regulations, and industry standards
- Maintain detailed documentation of work performed and materials used for each project
- Collaborate with property maintenance teams or clients to address service needs promptly
Skills
- Extensive experience in construction, HVAC installation, service technician roles, or property maintenance
- Strong knowledge of HVAC/R systems including air conditioning, refrigeration (including ammonia refrigeration), boilers, and appliance repair
- Ability to read schematics, technical drawings, and HVAC design plans accurately
- Mechanical aptitude with skills in equipment repair, welding, plumbing, and general maintenance
- Familiarity with field service operations and troubleshooting electrical components using tools like ohmmeters
- Experience working with property maintenance teams or in a mechanical/mechanic environment
- Knowledge of safety protocols related to HVAC/R systems and construction sites
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record is required for travel between job sites

Pay: $30.00 - $40.00 per hour
