A Shipping and Receiving Driver manages the loading, unloading, and transport of goods while maintaining accurate inventory records and documentation. They operate company vehicles and warehouse equipment (e.g., forklifts) to receive incoming stock and deliver outgoing products safely, efficiently, and in compliance with DOT regulations.
Key Responsibilities
Receiving: Unpack, examine, and record incoming shipments for damages or shortages, matching them to purchase orders.
Shipping: Prepare, pack, label, and securely load outbound materials, creating bills of lading and shipping documents.
Driving: Operate company vehicles to deliver goods to customers or vendors, adhering to safety standards.
Inventory & Warehouse: Move materials to storage areas using forklifts or pallet jacks, ensuring accurate inventory records.
Documentation: Maintain meticulous records of incoming and outgoing inventory, scanning and logging items daily.
Required Skills and Qualifications
License: Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
Physical Strength: Ability to lift 50+ pounds, stand, walk, bend, and work in varied weather conditions.
Equipment Operation: Proficiency in operating forklifts, hand trucks, and power tools.
Communication: Strong verbal and written skills for coordinating with staff and customers.
Attention to Detail: High accuracy in inspecting goods and recording data.
Education/Experience
High school diploma or equivalent.
Previous experience in warehousing, logistics, or delivery driving
Pay: $14.00 per hour
