Job Overview
We are looking for a reliable, professional, and safety-conscious Tow Truck Driver to join our growing fleet operations in Orange County. You will be responsible for providing emergency roadside assistance, vehicle recoveries, and commercial fleet transport services. The ideal candidate is a problem solver who enjoys working independently and providing excellent customer service to drivers in distress.
Key Responsibilities
- Emergency Roadside Service: Perform jump-starts, tire changes, fuel delivery, and lock-out services.
- Vehicle Transport: Safely load, secure, and transport vehicles using a flatbed or wheel-lift tow truck.
- Fleet Support: Assist with commercial transport and equipment moves for our business partners and regional contracts.
- Safety & Compliance: Conduct daily pre-trip vehicle inspections and maintain a clean, organized truck.
- Documentation: Utilize mobile dispatching apps to log photos, signatures, and job details accurately.
- Customer Service: Communicate clearly with dispatch and provide a calm, helpful presence for customers on-site.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Licensing: Valid California Driver’s License (Class A or B preferred, but Class C with a clean record will be considered).
- Experience: Minimum 2 years of experience in towing, roadside assistance, or commercial driving. Experience with AAA preferred.
- Driving Record: Must have a clean DMV printout (No DUIs; no more than 2 points).
- Physical Ability: Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs, kneel, crawl under vehicles, and work outdoors in various weather conditions.
- Background: Ability to pass a background check and drug screening (required for insurance and commercial contracts).
- Availability: Flexible schedule, including potential nights, weekends, or on-call rotations.
