Mixer Truck Driver
FLSA Status: Non-exempt
JOB SUMMARY: To deliver ready-mix concrete to the customer’s jobsite in a safe, accurate and timely manner.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Deliver concrete to jobsite in a safe, accurate and timely manner.
- Maintain integrity of product during delivery process.
- Keep truck clean both inside drum and cab, and the outside of the mixer.
- Be courteous to all customers and customer representatives.
- Delivery tickets must be submitted at the completion of delivery of product.
- DVIR reports for your inspections must be electronically submitted through the T3 system every day for every vehicle driven.
- Must comply with all applicable DOT and OSHA regulations.
- Personal protective equipment must be worn in all designated areas.
- Uniforms shall be worn every day and kept neat and clean.
- Other duties as assigned.
MINIMUM EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE
- Minimum 2 years commercial driving (CDL) experience preferred.
- Required valid commercial driver’s license (CDL) (Class A or B).
- Required valid DOT medical certification.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES
- Ability to work in a team environment.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
- Mixer truck.
- Outside work.
- Continuous exposure to heat or cold, loud noise, trucks, heavy equipment, and environmental elements such as chemicals, vibrations, dirt, or dust.
Physical Demands
- Frequent standing, walking on uneven surfaces, and sitting are required.
- Frequent climbing up and down ladders/catwalks.
· Must be able to climb, kneel, bend, crawl, and stand for long periods of time.
- Frequent lifting may be required, up to 50 pounds for a distance of 25 feet.
- Frequent reaching above shoulders.
Pay: $27.20 - $30.00 per hour
