Job Summary
REP Outdoor Group is seeking an experienced and motivated Sales Manager / Director of Sales to lead sales growth across our outdoor, sporting goods, hunting, fishing, western, gift, and home décor product brands.
This is a hands-on leadership role for someone who can take ownership of sales, manage current business, open new accounts, work with outside sales rep agencies, attend trade shows, call on national and regional retail accounts, and help build a scalable sales program.
The ideal candidate will work directly with the CEO to develop sales strategy, grow revenue, strengthen customer relationships, and build a sales team as needed.
This role is a strong fit for someone with experience in wholesale sales, B2B sales, key account management, national account sales, retail buyer relationships, dealer sales, distributor sales, outside sales, rep agency management, and consumer products sales.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead sales growth across REP Outdoor Group brands.
- Manage and grow existing wholesale, dealer, distributor, retail, and key account relationships.
- Identify, pursue, and close new business opportunities.
- Call on national accounts, regional accounts, independent dealers, distributors, and retail buyers.
- Develop sales strategies to expand product placement, increase reorder volume, and grow customer accounts.
- Build and manage relationships with outside sales rep agencies.
- Set sales goals, territories, expectations, and reporting standards for rep groups and internal sales team members.
- Attend trade shows, buyer meetings, showroom appointments, and customer visits.
- Help prepare for trade shows, including product selection, buyer outreach, booth strategy, and follow-up.
- Work directly with the CEO to build a structured sales program, including sales goals, reporting, forecasting, customer targeting, and account planning.
- Recruit, train, and manage sales team members as needed.
- Track sales performance, pipeline activity, customer growth, and new account development.
- Provide regular sales reports, forecasts, and growth updates to leadership.
- Work with marketing on catalogs, flyers, promotions, email campaigns, dealer programs, and sales materials.
- Work with product development to share customer feedback, market trends, and new product opportunities.
- Collaborate with customer service and operations to ensure accounts are properly supported.
- Maintain strong customer relationships and represent the company professionally at all times.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in sales management, business development, account management, outside sales, wholesale sales, or national account sales.
- Experience selling to retailers, dealers, distributors, wholesalers, buying groups, or national/regional accounts.
- Strong ability to grow existing accounts and develop new business.
- Experience managing outside sales reps, independent sales agencies, or rep groups preferred.
- Strong communication, negotiation, presentation, and relationship-building skills.
- Ability to create sales strategy and also execute hands-on sales activity.
- Comfortable calling on buyers, presenting products, following up, and closing opportunities.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to build, train, and manage a sales team.
- Ability to analyze sales data, customer performance, market trends, and growth opportunities.
- Strong organization, follow-up, and pipeline management skills.
- Willingness to travel for trade shows, customer visits, and account meetings.
- Valid driver’s license required.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Sales, or a related field preferred, but equivalent experience will be considered.

Travel Requirements
Travel is required for trade shows, customer meetings, sales rep meetings, national account meetings, regional account visits, and other sales-related events. Travel will vary depending on the season and sales calendar.
Pay: $70,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
