About the Role
As a Medical Assistant in Internal Medicine at Quincy Medical Group, you will play a key role in supporting two providers as they deliver comprehensive care to adult patients. You will assist with patient visits, chronic disease management, preventive care, and care coordination while helping ensure an efficient clinic workflow and exceptional patient experience. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys building long-term patient relationships and supporting patients with a wide range of healthcare needs.
Schedule
- Full-time position, Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM.

Position supports two Internal Medicine providers.

Hours may vary based on provider and departmental needs.

No weekends, holidays, overnight shifts, or on-call requirements.

Fast-paced primary care environment focused on preventive care, chronic disease management, and patient-centered care.
Primary Responsibilities

Room patients and obtain accurate vital signs, medical histories, medication information, and visit details.

Assist providers with examinations, treatments, and office-based procedures.

Coordinate referrals, diagnostic testing, medication refills, prior authorizations, and follow-up appointments.

Communicate provider recommendations, test results, and patient education materials.

Respond to patient phone calls, portal messages, and clinical inquiries in a timely and professional manner.

Maintain accurate documentation within the electronic medical record.

Support chronic disease management and preventive care initiatives.

Assist with exam room preparation, inventory management, and equipment readiness.

Maintain cleanliness and organization of clinical areas.

Perform other duties as assigned to support Internal Medicine clinic operations.
Qualifications

High school diploma or GED required.

CPR certification required (available upon hire).

Medical Assistant certification preferred.

Previous clinical experience in a physician office, primary care, or internal medicine setting preferred.

Strong communication, organizational, and patient service skills.

Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple priorities.

Experience with electronic medical records preferred.

The compensation for this role includes a base pay range of $16.12 - $24.18 per hour, with actual pay determined by factors such as skills, experience, education, certifications, geographic location, and internal equity. Additional compensation may be available through shift differentials, bonuses, and other incentives. Base pay is only a portion of the total rewards package.
