Overview
We are seeking a compassionate, dependable and experienced nurse practitioner to join our growing neurology practice. Duties
- Conduct thorough physical examinations and patient assessments to determine health status and develop individualized care plans.
- Prescribe medications and treatments in accordance with state regulations and collaborative practice agreements.
- Manage acute and chronic conditions across various specialties including internal medicine, geriatrics, pediatrics, emergency medicine, and behavioral health.
- Perform procedures such as suturing, IV insertion, catheterization, spinal taps, dermal fillers, botulinum toxin treatments, and esthetic laser treatments.
- Utilize electronic health record (EHR) systems like eClinicalWorks to document patient encounters accurately and efficiently.
- Provide telehealth consultations to expand access to care and support patients remotely.
- Collaborate with physicians, specialists, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate comprehensive patient care plans.
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations and maintain strict confidentiality of patient information.
Experience
- Proven experience working as a Nurse Practitioner in diverse clinical environments such as hospitals (Level I & II trauma centers), urgent care centers, outpatient clinics, or nursing homes.
- Demonstrated proficiency with EMR/EHR systems including Eclinical.
- Hands-on experience with procedures like suturing, dermal fillers, botulinum toxin treatment, spinal taps, sonography, catheterization, and sterile techniques.
- Background in managing complex cases involving acute pain management, infectious disease care, hospice & palliative medicine or behavioral health is advantageous.
- Knowledge of CPT coding (Current Procedural Terminology), ICD coding (International Classification of Diseases), ICD-9/10 coding standards for accurate documentation and billing purposes.
- Experience working with special populations such as pediatrics (including neonatal ventilator management), seniors (geriatrics & memory care), individuals with developmental disabilities or those requiring home care services.
- Familiarity with occupational health protocols including triage procedures and drug enforcement regulations (DEA).
- Strong physiology knowledge paired with excellent patient assessment skills to deliver precise diagnoses and effective treatment plans.
- Spanish speaking is a plus

Pay: $125,000.00 - $140,000.00 per year
