Job Title: 4th grade -Elementary Teacher
Reports to: Elementary School Principal

We are seeking a 4th grade teacher who is prepared to launch each student’s school experience on a positive note by building an engaging and creative classroom, preparing students in the foundations of ELA, Math, Science, and Social Studies to apply these concepts to real-world situations.
Primary Responsibilities

Create an engaging environment that is safe, age-appropriate, conducive to learning, encourages student interest, and maintains standards of behavior

Use student data to drive instruction using the MTSS framework to deliver district-approved curriculum using hands-on learning and one-to-one technology

Guide learning by establishing objectives for lessons, units, and projects, maintain records of progress, and adjust instruction accordingly to maximize student learning

Broaden student interest and understanding of social and physical environments through field trips, large group discussions, play acting, and other activities

Collaborate with colleagues in focused learning teams, work together with administration, and communicate with students and parents to further educational goals

Contribute in other ways as assigned by the Principal or Superintendent, or their designee
A qualified candidate will possess:

A Bachelor’s degree in Education

Michigan teaching certification with endorsements in relevant subject areas

LETRS training (preferred), familiarity with the Science of Reading
