Responsibilities
- Perform professional nail care services including manicures, pedicures, gel nails, acrylics, and nail enhancements with precision and artistry
- Apply color theory principles to create custom nail designs that match client preferences and current trends
- Maintain strict sanitation and sterilization standards to ensure a safe and hygienic environment for clients and staff
- Provide excellent customer service by listening to client needs, offering expert advice on nail care and beauty treatments, and upselling retail products effectively
- Assist with additional beauty services such as eyelash extensions, body waxing, hair styling, or hair extensions when qualified
- Educate clients on proper nail maintenance and recommend suitable products for ongoing care
- Keep detailed records of services performed and maintain a clean, organized workspace at all times
Qualifications
- Valid cosmetology or esthetician license with certification in nail technology or related fields
- Strong knowledge of nail care techniques, including gel application, acrylics, and cuticle care
- Familiarity with color theory to create appealing designs and custom polish blends
- Experience with sanitation procedures in a professional setting to ensure safety standards are met
- Excellent communication skills to understand client preferences and provide personalized recommendations
- Ability to perform detailed work efficiently while maintaining a lively and engaging attitude
- Knowledge of retail sales techniques such as upselling and retail math to maximize client satisfaction and sales opportunities
