About the Role
DeKalb County RehabNursing Center is looking for an experienced, hands-on Assistant Director of Dietary Services (PM Supervisor) to join our team. In this role, you'll work alongside the Director of Dietary Services to keep our food service department running smoothly - with primary ownership of evening shift operations. What You'll Do

Supervise food production and service staff across evening and day shifts, ensuring consistent adherence to quality and safety standards

Oversee meal service operations, including tasting and temperature-checking food before service and conducting dining room rounds to monitor resident satisfaction

Train, orient, and mentor new staff; maintain accurate records of training, attendance, and performance

Assist with inventory control, ordering, resident care plans, and selective menu entry

Monitor and enforce sanitation and safety standards throughout the kitchen, warming kitchens, storeroom, coolers, and chemical room

Conduct quarterly and admission resident interviews to update resident dietary profiles

Support scheduling, evaluate staff performance, and assist with disciplinary actions under the guidance of the Director of Dietary Services

Respond effectively to emergency situations and assist with evacuation procedures as needed
Schedule
Monday–Friday: 11:30 AM start | Saturday–Sunday: 8:00 AM start (subject to change based on staffing needs)
What We're Looking For
Required:

Valid Sanitation License
-
Strong verbal and written English communication skills

Ability to work cooperatively across all departments and levels of staff

Physical ability to stand, walk, lift, push, and pull equipment throughout the shift
Preferred:

Previous supervisory experience in a food service setting

Basic computer proficiency
All candidates must complete:

Pre-employment physical exam and tuberculin skin testing (within 10 days of hire)

Facility orientation and ongoing in-service education
