Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Carpenter/Laborer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in various carpentry tasks and be able to work effectively on construction projects. This role requires attention to detail, a commitment to quality workmanship, and the ability to collaborate with other tradespeople on-site. The Carpenter/Laborer will be responsible for executing a variety of construction tasks while ensuring safety and efficiency.
Responsibilities
- Construct, install, and repair structures and fixtures made from wood, plywood, and wallboard.
- Read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings to determine project specifications.
- Perform door hanging, ensuring proper alignment and functionality.
- Assist with fixture installation, including cabinetry and shelving.
- Conduct construction painting tasks as needed for finishing touches.
- Execute caulking and stucco work to ensure weatherproofing and aesthetic appeal.
- Collaborate with other trades such as electricians for integrated project execution.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment, adhering to safety protocols at all times.
Experience
- Proven experience in carpentry or related fields is preferred.
- Familiarity with electrical systems is a plus.
- Strong skills in construction estimating for project planning.
- Ability to perform maintenance person tasks beyond carpentry, such as plumbing or minor electrical work.
- Experience in construction painting, caulking, stucco application, and fixture installation is highly desirable.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot issues on-site effectively.
