American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for an Emergency Department position in Wilson, NC, requiring a minimum of 2 years of ED experience and active NC or compact RN license.

Work setting is a 294-bed, Joint Commission Accredited hospital's Emergency Department in Wilson, NC
-
26-bed Emergency Department serving a mixed patient population (pediatric, adult, geriatric)
-
Common diagnoses and treatments include respiratory distress, overdose, CHF, dialysis, and hypertension (HTN)
-
Patient ratio is 1:4-5, flexible depending on acuity
-
Equipment includes GE monitors and standard ED equipment

EMR is Meditech; experience preferred
-
Day shift: 9:00 AM – 9:00 PM (12-hour shifts)
-
Every other weekend required
-
No on-call requirements
-
Floating to like assignments required

13-week contract

Active RN license in NC or a compact state currently in hand

Current AHA certifications required: BLS, ACLS, PALS, and NIHSS

Minimum 2 years of Emergency Department (ED) experience required

Associate's degree in Nursing (ADN) or higher required

Social Security number and date of birth required for consideration

Candidates must reside more than 60 miles from the facility to qualify for the travel rate

Scrubs of any color are acceptable; scrubs branded with another facility name are not permitted

Candidates who have worked as permanent staff at any LifePoint facility within the last 12 months are not eligible

Candidates who are employed full-time elsewhere are not eligible

Wilson, NC is located approximately 45 miles east of Raleigh, 1 hour from Duke, NC State, UNC Chapel Hill, and East Carolina University, and about 2 hours from the NC coast
