Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and compassionate Registered Dental Hygienist to join our vibrant dental team. Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive dental cleanings, including scaling and polishing teeth to remove plaque and tartar buildup
- Conduct patient assessments by reviewing medical histories, vital signs, and current dental conditions
- Educate patients on proper oral hygiene practices and preventive care strategies tailored to their needs
- Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays) while adhering to infection control protocols and radiation safety standards
- Assist the dentist during procedures using four-handed dentistry techniques to improve efficiency and patient comfort
- Maintain accurate and detailed medical records using Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems such as Eaglesoft or Dentrix
- Ensure strict compliance with HIPAA regulations by maintaining patient confidentiality and safeguarding sensitive information
Requirements
- Valid state licensure as a Registered Dental Hygienist with current certification to practice
- Proven experience in general dentistry and pediatric dentistry settings preferred
- Proficiency with dental software platforms such as Eaglesoft and Dentrix
- Strong knowledge of dental terminology, medical terminology, and anatomy relevant to oral health
- Skilled in chairside assisting, dental equipment operation, and infection prevention management
- Ability to perform dental x-ray procedures accurately while following aseptic techniques
- Excellent communication skills for client education, team collaboration, and patient care documentation
- Knowledge of healthcare infection prevention and control standards, including HIPAA compliance management
- Familiarity with EMR/EHR systems for efficient documentation review and medical coding
