Duties
- Welcome guests warmly and assist with seating arrangements to create a positive first impression
- Clear and reset tables efficiently, ensuring cleanliness and sanitation standards are upheld at all times
- Buss tables by removing used dishes, glassware, and utensils with proper manual handling techniques
- Assist in food service operations by delivering items to tables when needed, supporting the serving staff
- Maintain cleanliness of dining areas, including sweeping, wiping surfaces, and sanitizing tables between guests
- Communicate effectively with team members to coordinate table turnover and guest needs
- Handle heavy lifting safely when moving chairs, tables, or supplies around the restaurant
Requirements
- Previous experience in food service or restaurant environments is preferred but not required; willingness to learn is key
- Strong communication skills to interact professionally with guests and team members
- Ability to perform manual handling tasks safely, including heavy lifting and safe lifting practices
- Knowledge of sanitation and food safety standards within the food industry or hospitality sector
- Experience with table setting, food handling, catering, or kitchen operations is advantageous
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Positive attitude with excellent customer service skills to ensure guest satisfaction
