Join our dynamic team as a Private Dog Kennel Manager, where you will lead the daily operations of a dedicated dog care facility. As the cornerstone of our kennel operations, you will oversee dog handling, training, grooming, and overall kennel management to create a safe, clean, and nurturing space for every furry guest.
Responsibilities
- Manage daily kennel operations, including overseeing dog care routines and staff schedules
- Handle dog training sessions to promote good behavior and socialization
- Ensure proper animal restraint and handling techniques to guarantee safety for pets and staff
- Perform pet grooming, including bathing, brushing, and basic hygiene maintenance
- Provide pet sitting services and monitor dogs’ health and well-being throughout their stay
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards within the kennel environment
- Communicate effectively with pet owners regarding their pets’ needs, behaviors, and special requirements
Requirements
- Proven experience in dog handling, training, or kennel management
- Veterinary technician or veterinary assistant experience highly preferred
- Knowledge of animal restraint techniques and animal care best practices
- Strong background in pet grooming, pet sitting, or related animal care services
- Excellent customer service skills to engage with pet owners professionally and empathetically
- Ability to perform heavy lifting when necessary for equipment or supplies
- Valid experience in veterinary or animal handling environments is a plus
