Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Over the Road Truck Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for driving and a commitment to safety and efficiency on the road. As an Over the Road Truck Driver, you will be responsible for transporting goods across long distances, ensuring timely deliveries while adhering to all regulations and company policies. This position requires strong navigation skills, excellent communication abilities, and a customer-focused attitude.

- Paid weekly
- Operate commercial vehicles including tractor-trailers and flatbeds safely and efficiently over long distances.
- Perform pre-trip, en-route, and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure safety and compliance.
- Maintain accurate records of mileage, fuel usage, and delivery schedules.
- Navigate routes effectively while adhering to traffic laws and regulations.
- Communicate with dispatchers regarding delivery status, route changes, or any issues encountered on the road.
- Load and unload cargo as necessary, utilizing forklifts or other equipment when required.
- Ensure that all cargo is secured properly before transport to prevent damage during transit.
- Comply with all federal, state, and local regulations regarding transportation.
Experience
- Proven experience in commercial driving with a valid CDL license.
- Familiarity with operating various types of trucks including dump trucks, roll-off trucks, and flatbeds is preferred.
- Experience with manual transmission vehicles is highly desirable.
- Strong knowledge of route driving techniques and delivery processes.
- Ability to work independently while managing time effectively to meet deadlines.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to adapt to changing situations on the road.
