Job Description
The primary responsibility of this position includes preparing financial reports, performing account reconciliations, maintaining the general ledger, preparing tax returns, assisting with audit preparations, supporting grant financial management, and performing other accounting duties as assigned.
Sound knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and strong financial analysis skill is key for this position.
General Responsibilities
- Preparing financial analyses and reports.
- Preparing revenue projections and forecasting expenditure.
- Assisting with preparing and monitoring budgets.
- Maintaining and reconciling balance sheet and general ledger accounts, including fund accounting.
- Assisting with annual audit preparations.
- Investigating and resolving audit findings, account discrepancies, and issues of non-compliance.
- Preparing federal, state, local, and special tax returns.
- Assisting with grant application preparation, budgeting, and compliance tracking.
- Monitoring grant expenditures and preparing financial reports for grant funders and reporting requirements.
- Ensuring grant spending complies with funder restrictions and reporting deadlines.
- Contributing to the development of new or amended accounting systems, programs, and procedures, and updating related policies and procedures.
- Reviewing and approving AR and AP activity.
- Performing other accounting duties and supporting junior staff as required or assigned.

- Experience with grant compliance and reporting.
Qualifications
Bachelor or higher degree in finance, business, and/or accounting or 3+ years of accounting experience.
CPA required.
Previous bookkeeping, accounting, or finance experience.

Pay: $63,000.00 - $78,000.00 per year
