Job Summary
We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Shipping and Receiving/Material Handler to join our dynamic logistics team. In this vital role, you will oversee the accurate receipt, storage, and dispatch of goods, ensuring seamless warehouse operations. Your expertise in inventory management, shipping logistics, and warehouse distribution will contribute to efficient order fulfillment and customer satisfaction. Duties
- Receive incoming shipments by verifying quantities, inspecting for damages, and recording details
- Prepare outgoing shipments by picking, packing, and labeling orders accurately according to customer specifications
- Operate forklifts, reach trucks, pallet jacks, and order pickers to load and unload trucks safely and efficiently
- Maintain accurate inventory records through data entry into inventory management software
- Ensure compliance with trade regulations and shipping & receiving procedures for domestic and international shipments
- Organize stock in designated warehouse locations using stocking techniques aligned with warehouse distribution standards
- Conduct regular inventory counts
- Assist with warehouse organization, including stocking shelves, packaging products securely for shipment, and maintaining a clean work environment
Requirements
- Proven experience in warehouse operations or logistics environments with familiarity in shipping & receiving processes
- Proficiency in inventory management software and Microsoft Office applications
- Ability to operate warehouse equipment including forklifts (certification preferred), reach trucks, pallet jacks, and order pickers safely
- Strong basic math skills for counting, measuring, and calculating weights or dimensions
- Experience with order fulfillment processes such as picking & packing, order picking, and load & unload procedures
- Knowledge of trade compliance regulations and international trade procedures is a plus
- Excellent data entry skills with attention to detail to ensure accurate recordkeeping
- Customer service orientation to support internal teams and external partners effectively
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining safety standards and operational accuracy
