Experience a fulfilling contract opportunity supporting students’ communication needs in a dynamic school environment just outside Jefferson, GA. As part of a collaborative team of speech-language professionals, you'll work with a diverse group of 40 students (shared between you and a fellow therapist), helping them maximize their academic and social potential.
This role begins in August and concludes in October, offering a set weekly schedule: Mondays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays from 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM. You’ll have the opportunity to design and implement engaging therapy sessions, conduct assessments, and collaborate with educators and families to support students’ growth.
Required qualifications:
- Active Georgia Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) license
- ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP)
- Experience working with children in educational settings preferred
- Strong communication, organization, and interpersonal skills
- Ability to create individualized and evidence-based treatment plans
- Commitment to fostering a positive and inclusive learning environment
Key responsibilities:
- Provide direct speech-language therapy services in accordance with students’ IEPs
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans and interventions
- Conduct evaluations and re-evaluations as needed
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of services and progress
- Collaborate with teachers, staff, and families for comprehensive student support
- Participate in IEP meetings and interdisciplinary team discussions
