Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Shop Supervisor to oversee daily operations in our shop environment. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills and a solid understanding of Class A trucks and parts, ensuring that projects are completed efficiently and safely. The Shop Supervisor will be responsible for managing staff, coordinating project schedules, and maintaining compliance with industry standards.
Duties
- Supervise Daily Operations: Oversee the daily activities of the shop, ensuring efficient workflow and productivity.
- Staff Management: Supervise and guide employees, providing training and coaching as necessary. Conduct performance reviews and manage staff schedules.
- Safety Compliance: Enforce safety regulations and procedures to maintain a safe work environment for all employees.
- Job Scheduling: Plan and coordinate job schedules to ensure timely completion of projects.
- Quality Control: Perform quality checks on finished products to ensure they meet established standards.
- Record Keeping: Maintain records of job progress, equipment usage, and employee performance.
- Issue Resolution: Address and resolve any disputes or issues among team members, fostering effective communication and collaboration.
- Equipment Maintenance: Ensure all tools, equipment, and machinery are properly maintained and in good working order.
- Coordination with Management: Work closely with management and other departments for job planning and scheduling.
- Supervise and lead shop personnel to ensure adherence to safety protocols and operational efficiency.
- Coordinate project scheduling and resource allocation to meet deadlines.
- Facilitate communication between field crews and management to address any issues or changes in project scope.
- Train new employees on shop procedures, safety practices, and equipment operation.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in a supervisory role within the Class A Vehicle industry.
- Excellent organizational skills with a focus on project scheduling and resource management.
- Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with team members and stakeholders.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $24.00 - $40.00 per hour
