Position Overview
MSB Legal Group is seeking an experienced Personal Injury Litigation Attorney to join our growing Litigation Department. Prior litigation experience is required. The ideal candidate will have experience handling personal injury litigation matters and be capable of independently managing an active caseload from inception through resolution.
This position provides the opportunity to handle every phase of personal injury litigation, including:
- Court appearances
- Depositions
- Discovery
- Motion practice
- Settlement negotiations
- Mediations
- Arbitrations
- Trial preparation
- Overall litigation strategy and case management

Responsibilities
- Independently manage personal injury litigation files from filing through settlement or trial
- Draft pleadings, motions, discovery, legal correspondence, settlement demands, and other litigation documents
- Conduct legal research and prepare memoranda and case analyses
- Attend court hearings, case management conferences, and other court proceedings
- Take and defend depositions
- Participate in mediations, arbitrations, settlement negotiations, and other dispute resolution proceedings
- Communicate regularly with clients and provide case updates throughout litigation
- Collaborate with attorneys, paralegals, and support staff to efficiently move cases toward resolution
- Prepare cases for trial, including witness preparation, exhibit organization, and trial support
- Maintain organized case files, deadlines, and litigation calendars
Required Qualifications
- Active member in good standing with the State Bar of California
- Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school
- Minimum of one (1) year of civil litigation experience required; plaintiff personal injury litigation experience strongly preferred
- Experience managing litigation matters, including discovery, motion practice, court appearances, and depositions
- Excellent legal research, writing, and analytical skills
- Strong verbal and written communication abilities
- Exceptional organizational and time-management skills
- Ability to prioritize and manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Professional, dependable, self-motivated, and results-driven
Preferred Qualifications
- Plaintiff-side personal injury litigation experience
- Experience independently managing a litigation caseload
- Trial preparation, mediation, arbitration, or trial experience
- Bilingual in Spanish and English
- Bilingual in Armenian and English
Compensation
Compensation is based on experience, litigation background, and the ability to independently manage cases.
In addition to a competitive base salary, attorneys are eligible for:
- Performance-based commissions
- Discretionary year-end bonuses
- 20% commission on attorney fees generated from new client matters originated by the attorney
