Riverwood Resort is looking for someone who is passionate about being in the kitchen to be a part of our Culinary Team!
Your overall responsibility for this position is creating a positive environment with quality food and service, communicating with servers, and efficiently meeting the needs of your customers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Food Preparation: Cook and assemble dishes according to Banquet Event Orders (BEOs) and recipes.
- Station Management: Set up, organize, and maintain clean cooking stations and equipment.
- Quality & Presentation: Ensure food meets high standards for taste, temperature, and visual appeal (garnish, plating).
- Food Safety: Adhere strictly to all health, safety, and sanitation regulations.
- Teamwork: Collaborate with chefs, servers, and other kitchen staff for seamless event execution.
- Inventory: Monitor stock, label ingredients, and assist with orders.
- Adaptability: Handle last-minute changes and work efficiently in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
Preferred Skills & Qualifications
- Previous experience in high-volume or banquet cooking.
- Excellent multitasking, organizational, and time-management skills.
- Ability to work well under pressure and as part of a team.
- Knowledge of food safety
- Prep cook experience
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays is a must.
Work Environment
- A busy, fast-paced kitchen focused on large-scale production.
- Involves standing for long periods and lifting.
- Requires high energy and ability to maintain focus during repetitive tasks
