The Boulevard Church (The BLVD) is seeking a full-time Worship Arts Director to lead and develop our in-person and online worship experiences. We’re looking for a creative, collaborative leader who loves Jesus, loves people, and is passionate about using music, technology, and the arts to help people discover God’s love with their neighbors.
The Worship Arts Director will work closely with the Lead Pastor to plan and lead meaningful, engaging worship experiences while developing the volunteers who make them possible. This role oversees both worship leadership and audiovisual production, including our worship team, A/V team, livestream, lighting, stage design, and related creative elements.
What You’ll Do
- Plan and lead weekly worship services in collaboration with the Lead Pastor
- Lead worship vocally and instrumentally
- Recruit, develop, schedule, and care for worship and production volunteers
- Lead weekly worship rehearsals and prepare teams for Sunday services
- Help create worship experiences that intentionally reflect multiethnic and multicultural expressions
- Plan and execute worship for special services and events throughout the year
- Oversee sound, lighting, projection, livestreaming, and other A/V technology
- Ensure online worship services provide a high-quality, distraction-free experience
- Maintain and improve systems including ProPresenter, Lightkey, video, audio, and streaming technology
- Develop volunteer leaders who can effectively serve and lead within worship and A/V ministries
- Collaborate on stage design and other creative elements for sermon series and seasons
- Assist with video, photography, and other creative needs for church communications and ministries
- Maintain A/V equipment and help identify future technology and equipment needs

- Has demonstrated experience and excellence as a worship leader
- Is a strong vocalist and proficient instrumentalist
- Has experience with worship-related A/V technology, including sound, lighting, projection, livestreaming, and computers
- Is comfortable learning and working with platforms such as ProPresenter and Lightkey
- Is relational, encouraging, and able to develop and care for volunteers
- Can recruit, organize, and lead multiple teams
- Brings creativity and vision while also being able to execute the details
- Values multicultural worship and incorporating a variety of artistic expressions
- Works well collaboratively and brings a positive, flexible attitude to a team environment
- Has theological or biblical training or experience (preferred, but not required)
