Job description:
Position Summary
The Cook is responsible for preparing and serving nutritious, high-quality meals for residents, ensuring all food is cooked to established standards while maintaining a clean, safe, and sanitary kitchen environment.
Key Responsibilities
Prepare and cook meals according to menus, recipes, and dietary requirements
Ensure food is presented attractively and served at the proper temperature
Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of kitchen, equipment, and utensils
Monitor food inventory and notify management of supply needs
Adhere to food safety and hygiene regulations at all times
Assist with special events or themed meals as needed
Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent preferred
Previous cooking experience, preferably in healthcare or senior living, is a plus
Knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods
Strong time management and teamwork skills
