As we scale, we are hiring a Production Supervisor – Assembly & Turning to lead shop floor operations supporting the production of high-precision components used in high-voltage transformer bushings and grid infrastructure.

You will lead teams responsible for precision machining, assembly, and finishing processes that directly support grid reliability, electrical insulation performance, and energy infrastructure stability.

What We Are Looking For!
Supervise daily operations across assembly and CNC/manual turning processes for transformer bushing components
Lead, coach, and develop production team members to achieve safety, quality, delivery, and cost targets Plan and coordinate production schedules, staffing, and workflow to meet customer demand and takt time requirements
Ensure adherence to engineering drawings, BOMs, routings, and technical specifications for high-voltage insulation products
Oversee precision machining and assembly of components including:
Conductors
Flanges and housings
Insulation systems (paper, resin, RIP/RIS technologies)
Drive in-process quality control and final inspections to meet stringent electrical and dimensional tolerances
Partner with engineering and quality teams to support process validation, first article inspection (FAI), and product qualification
Monitor KPIs (OEE, scrap, yield, downtime) and implement continuous improvement initiatives (Lean, Six Sigma)
Troubleshoot production issues including machining variability, assembly defects, material inconsistencies, and equipment performance
Ensure proper use and maintenance of equipment such as:
CNC lathes and turning machines
Assembly fixtures and parts
Measurement and inspection tools
Lead root cause analysis (RCA) and corrective actions for quality or process deviations
Enforce all safety protocols, including OSHA standards, lockout/tagout, and safe material handling practices
Maintain accurate production reporting and tracking in SAP or similar systems
What You Will Bring!
High School Diploma or GED required; Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Manufacturing, Engineering, or related field preferred
Minimum 5+ years of experience in manufacturing, with at least 2+ years in a supervisory or leadership role
Strong experience in:
CNC turning and machining operations
Precision assembly in industrial or electrical manufacturing
High-voltage, transformer, or insulation-related products (preferred)
Proven ability to lead teams in a high-mix, precision manufacturing environment
Solid understanding of technical drawings, GD&T, BOMs, and routing structures
Familiarity with electrical insulation materials, oil-filled systems, or bushing technologies is highly desirable
Experience with Lean manufacturing, 5S, and continuous improvement methodologies
Proficiency with ERP systems (SAP preferred) and production reporting tools
Strong problem-solving skills with a hands-on, floor-oriented leadership style
High attention to detail, safety mindset, and commitment to product quality
Effective communication and collaboration skills across production, engineering, and quality teams
