Job Overview:
Kamps is looking to hire a Production Team Lead. The Team Leader will oversee a group of employees and motivate them to do their job efficiently. The Team Lead will help coordinate the activities of a production team to ensure the successful execution of site goals as well as assist in the day-to-day production activities. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, a deep understanding of production operations, and a passion for fostering a results-driven team culture.
Kamps is looking to hire Production Team Lead. Duties include operating a forklift, sorting and repairing pallets.
Essential Functions:
- Lead and supervise the production team to achieve daily, weekly, and monthly production targets
- Foster a positive team environment, promoting a culture of continuous improvement
- Provide guidance and training to team members to enhance their skills and performance
- Collaborate with the production supervisor to understand production schedules and priorities
- Ensure efficient execution of production plans, meeting quality standards and delivery deadlines
- Monitor quality control measures to ensure products meet or exceed established specifications
- Identify training needs within the team and coordinate training sessions to enhance skills and knowledge
- Uphold and reinforce safety protocols and regulations within the team
- Ensure compliance with all safety standards and company policies
- Act as a liaison between production team members and management
- Address and resolve production-related issues in a timely and effective manner
- Repair pallets according to customer specifications, or as directed by supervisor
- Stack, arrange, and organize pallets efficiently to maximize storage space and facilitate inventory management.
- Physical ability to pick-up, manipulate, and move pallets continuously throughout the shift.
- Safely operate a forklift to move pallets of various sizes and weights within the production area.
- Other duties as assigned by Production Supervisor or other Plant Management
Requirements & Qualifications:
- A production team member should be able to lift repetitively between 75-100 pounds, have good communication skills, and good knowledge of pallets, or ability and patience to learn about various pallets
- Production team members need to have a good work ethic and good attendance
- Production operator must be prepared to work in all types of weather/temperature conditions
- Must be quality and safety minded at all times.
- Bilingual Spanish
