We are currently seeking a full-time, Pre-Press Specialist to join our Digital Pre-Press Department.
The Pre-Press Specialist will be responsible for pre-flighting customer-supplied artwork, preparing and proofing 1-up artwork for digital printing, troubleshooting common file and color-related issues, and ensuring color matches customer standards.
While this is not a graphic design position, there may be times when the Prepress Technician will be tasked with basic layout or file re-creation as needed.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Have an understanding of print processes and software, such as imposition, color management and ability to troubleshoot client files
- Interface with a wide variety of personality types via phone, email and in person as is necessary
- Ensures quality of final product before release
- Maintain high level of knowledge and skill with all computer software related to the design and production of print materials
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- High School Diploma
- Related experience, especially experience working in a print shop environment, graphic design preferred.
- Knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite: InDesign, Illustrator and Photoshop.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
- Able to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a timely fashion
- Versatile, flexible, and a willingness to work within constantly changing priorities
- Strong and consistent attention to detail
- Self-motivated with the ability to stay on task
- Team player
