Fleet Mechanic:

Part-Time
We are seeking a qualified candidate with past experience in automotive and medium duty box trucks. Our fleet technician will be responsible for maintaining up to 10 company vehicles at a time. This includes diagnosis, repair and preventative maintenance. Technicians should be resourceful, self-sufficient and knowledgeable at automotive maintenance and repair.

QUALIFICATIONS:
● High school degree, or equivalent
● 1-2 years of relevant experience
● Valid driver's license, reliable vehicle, Clean MVR
● Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions and memos.
● Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions.
● Ability to write routine reports
● Willing to submit to pre-employment drug screen and background check
● Professional attitude, demeanor, and appearance
● Provide your own tools. Some will be provided for you.

FUNCTIONS:
● Inspect and complete repairs on medium duty box trucks with diesel engines and gas operated service vans.
● Utilize technology to maintain maintenance records and track upcoming repairs
● Inspect, Recommend and Complete Repairs as needed on vans or trucks
● Conduct repairs as outlined on repair orders or notified via CRM.
● Contact parts store to source and order parts
● Maintain preventative maintenance schedules and repairs
● Road test vehicles when required
● Operate all tools and equipment in a safe manner
● Report any safety issues directly to management
● Drive vehicles to alternative repair shops when needed.
I.e - Tire shop, glass repair
● Document all repairs completed and recommended via electronic CRM
POSITION TYPE/EXPECTED WORK HOURS
This is a part time position. Our company is open 6 days a week. Our trucks are generally in the field from 8:30 a.m. - 6 p.m. Trucks will need to be maintained outside of those hours or when there is a truck not in service that day. Some repairs can be made during regular business hours, Some may require to take place before or after hour. Many repairs do not require immediate attention and can be scheduled for service to assist with meeting your preferred availability.
