Key Responsibilities
- Clinical Procedures: Perform routine clinical duties including administering injections, performing EKGs, taking vital signs, and preparing patients for examinations.
- Patient Flow & Multitasking: Room patients quickly and efficiently, manage flow across multiple exam rooms and provderes, maintain an organized schedule.
- EHR & Documentation: Accurately record medical histories, vitals, and clinical notes in the Electronic Health Record (EHR) system.
- Provider Support: Assist providers during exams/minor procedures and prepare lab order requisitions.
- Patient Communication: Handle prescription refill requests, triage patient phone calls, and communicate lab results as directed.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Experience: Minimum of 2 years as a Medical Assistant in an outpatient or primary care clinic setting (Required).
- Clinical Skills: Demonstrated proficiency in performing EKGs and administering injections (Required).
- Efficiency: Strong ability to multitask, prioritize under pressure, and manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Certifications: Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) required
- BLS/CPR: Current CPR/BLS certification required.
