Musgrove Engineering is a full MEP Engineering Design Firm with offices located in both Boise and Idaho Falls. Musgrove Engineering has been offering the best in MEP designs since 1976.
Musgrove is currently looking for a strong candidate to head up our Mechanical Department in our Idaho Falls Office.
We are looking for candidates with a minimum of 4 years of experience in designing HVAC systems on applications ranging from multi-family units, commercial buildings, industrial, airports, hospitals and high-tech facilities. Having a PE license is a definite plus but not necessarily required. We are looking for someone who has passion in design and leadership, can inspire & mentor junior members of the team, enjoys a good work life balance and is looking for a great opportunity to join our growing company.
Job Activities:
- Face to face contact with clients.
- Prepare accurate HVAC, plumbing, and specialty piping system construction drawings and specifications for submittal review and construction administration
- Prepare preliminary schematics and final designs, calculations, equipment selection and layout
- Actively engage in and assume responsibility for code research and application
- Interface with other disciplines, clients, and contractors
- Assist in maintaining project design budgets and schedules while pursuing quality and continuity.
Specific Requirements include:What are the requirements?
- Minimum of 4 years of relevant experience in the mechanical design field
- PE is a preferred but not required.
- Experience working and designing mechanical systems from SD phase through CA.
- Experience in design and application of HVAC equipment including fan coils, air handlers, air sourced, and water/ground sourced packaged equipment or similar design fields. Has a great understanding of hydronic design.
- Strong experience in Software tools such as; AutoCAD, Revit, BIM 360, Bluebeam
- Strong written & communication skills
- Strong analytical, problem solving, and decision-making capabilities.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: $80,000.00 - $160,000.00 per year
