JOB SUMMARY
The Client Data Integration Specialist has a vital role within Mark III Employee Benefits. The Client Integrations Specialist (CIS) is responsible for overseeing and executing data integrations between clients and the benefits administration platform. The CIS plays a critical role in ensuring accurate, secure, and timely exchange of payroll and census data by managing two key processes:
Payroll File Integration
Census File Integration
These two processes represent the core focus of the role and require close collaboration with both internal teams and external client stakeholders.
QUALIFICATIONS
· Bachelor’s degree in information technology, Business Administration, Finance, or a related field is preferred.
· Familiarity with industry-specific software solutions (e.g., ADP, Paycor, Tyler MUNIS) and benefits platforms is an advantage.
· Experience in payroll, benefits administration, or life and health insurance systems is essential.
· Knowledge of data privacy and security regulations (e.g., HIPAA, GDPR) as it pertains to payroll and benefits data handling.
· Ability to manage multiple clients and file import/export projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines and maintaining high service levels.
· Experience in Selerix and/or Employee Navigator is a plus
· Experience in programming generally and/or JavaScript specifically is a plus
ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Payroll Integration
- Collect payroll-related documentation early in onboarding (deduction codes, payroll calendars, import specs).
- Facilitate and lead a payroll kickoff call with client stakeholders (Payroll, HR, Finance).
- Define and document the structure, timing, and format of payroll file imports.
- Coordinate with internal teams (EDI, Case Build) to ensure platform readiness.
- Configure delivery mechanisms (typically via SFTP).
- Deliver and validate test payroll files.
- Provide production-ready payroll files on go-live.
- Monitor ongoing file delivery and handle change requests with appropriate lead time.
- Ensure minimum deliverable standards are met if client delays occur.
Census Integration
- Evaluate whether census integration is appropriate for the client based on technical capacity and organizational size.
- Collect census exports and required field lists from internal stakeholders (Payroll, EDI, Case Build).
- Lead a census kickoff call to define field mapping, file format, and delivery cadence.
- Create and maintain data mapping documentation.
- Review and validate test census files for formatting, accuracy, and completeness.
- Coordinate internal configuration and file intake setup.
- Support the go-live of one-time or ongoing census file delivery.
- Maintain documentation and communication channels for file monitoring and updates.
Scripting
- Assist case build team with custom JavaScripting needs.
Pay: $45,000.00 - $60,000.00 per year
