We are seeking an experienced Marine/Boat Rigger to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will have extensive hands-on experience rigging new boats, installing marine systems and accessories, and preparing vessels for customer delivery. This position requires a high level of mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, and pride in producing clean, reliable, factory-quality work.
Key Responsibilities
Rig new boats according to manufacturer specifications and dealership standards.
Install outboard engines, controls, steering systems, hydraulic systems, and propellers.
Install and configure marine electronics including GPS/chartplotters, sonar, radar, VHF radios, stereo systems, and accessories.
Install trolling motors, shallow water anchors, jack plates, power poles, trim tabs, and other aftermarket equipment.
Perform electrical wiring, battery installations, switch panels, chargers, and accessory installations.
Route, secure, and organize wiring and rigging components to ensure clean, professional installations.
Perform pre-delivery inspections (PDI) to ensure all systems operate properly prior to customer delivery.
Troubleshoot and repair rigging, electrical, and accessory issues.
Conduct water tests when required to verify proper operation and performance.
Read and interpret rigging diagrams, electrical schematics, and manufacturer installation instructions.
Maintain accurate work orders and documentation.
Keep work areas organized while following all safety procedures and quality standards.
Work closely with the service department and sales team to meet delivery schedules.
-----Qualifications-----
Minimum of 3–5 years of professional marine rigging experience.
Strong knowledge of outboard engine rigging and marine electrical systems.
Experience installing marine electronics and aftermarket accessories.
Ability to read electrical diagrams and technical manuals.
Proficient with hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment.
Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
----Preferred Qualifications----
Experience rigging Mercury, Yamaha, Suzuki, or other major outboard brands.
Knowledge of NMEA 2000 networking and CAN bus systems.
Experience installing Garmin, Hummingbird, Lowrance, Simrad, or Raymarine electronics.
Pay: $15.00 - $25.00 per hour
