American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a night shift Nursing Supervisor / Patient Flow Coordinator role requiring ACLS, BLS, and a DC RN license in a hospital administration setting.

Night shift schedule: 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM (12-hour shifts)

Hospital inpatient setting focused on administration, capacity management, and patient flow coordination across all units and departments
-
Serves as the central operational hub for patient throughput, including ED admits, direct admits, surgical admits, ICU transfers, and bed utilization
-
Collaborates with nursing units, physicians, case management, environmental services, perioperative services, and executive leadership
-
Supports perioperative services with postoperative bed placement, add-on surgical cases, and capacity planning
-
4 weekend shifts required per 6-week schedule period

Holiday coverage required: one winter holiday and one summer holiday (includes the eve and day of each holiday)

No floating or on-call requirements

Active DC RN license required

Current ACLS and BLS certifications required

BSN required (minimum)

CCRN or CNL certification preferred

Experience at a comparable facility size (500+ bed facility experience required)

Strong clinical judgment, leadership presence, and ability to make independent decisions in a fast-paced environment

Active licensure and one professional reference required for consideration

SSN and DOB required for consideration

Functions as the primary nursing administrative resource during off-shifts, weekends, holidays, and periods of heightened operational demand

Leads capacity escalation efforts during census surges, throughput challenges, and operational constraints

Facilitates and leads interdisciplinary operational huddles focused on patient flow, capacity management, and patient safety

Responds to hospital-wide operational concerns, patient placement barriers, and situations requiring real-time decision-making and escalation

Supports emergency preparedness, patient safety initiatives, and organizational throughput goals
-
This is a hybrid leadership role combining nursing supervision, patient placement, capacity management, and hospital operations — distinct from a traditional bed management or house supervisor role
