Lewisville area Strong Group, Inc. is looking for a Commercial Construction Project Manager with experience in restaurant/entertainment construction as well as retail development. The project manager supervises and manages the actions of assigned projects and team members, ensuring that projects are completed on schedule and to the satisfaction of the client. The Project Manager is accountable for creating and managing the construction budget as well as Strong Group Inc.'s quality and construction standards. The ideal candidate is a highly motivated, goal-oriented individual who possesses problem-solving talents, multitasking abilities, and an eye for detail.
Responsibilities
- Developing and enforcing a construction schedule that is tracked and updated daily with a constant monthly look ahead to ensure timely completion of the project
- Preparing initial project estimates and bidding and qualifying subcontractors
- Preparing scopes of work and recommending subcontractors to be selected for contracting on the construction of the project
- Sending out invitations to bid and managing the bidding process
- Negotiating scopes of work and final co-ordination with subcontractors
- Monitoring compliance with plans and specifications, hosting weekly and monthly jobsite meetings, and performing other responsibilities necessary for the effective completion of the projects
- Review monthly subcontractor invoices to ensure they are accurate and complete
Qualifications
- Proven Experience as a construction project manager
- Excellent leadership and negotiator skills
- Detail oriented individual with track record for completing projects on time and within budgets.
- A thorough understanding of construction procedures and materials, as well as project management principles.
- Working knowledge of all trades, has the ability to read blueprints and relevant contract documents.
- Both written and verbal communication skills, lead by example attitude.
- Proficient with computers, MS Excel, Estimating, Project Management, Cost Management, I- pad, and web based scheduling and reporting.
- MAC OS knowledge is a plus.
