About the role
IN PERSON POSITION-BELLEVUE, WASHINGTON.
(This is an hourly position at $40.87 which is equal to $85K per year.)
Legacy Group Capital has an established acquisitions, entitlement, and in-house design team that manages projects from initial feasibility and underwriting through design, permitting, and construction coordination. This role is integrated directly within that team and will work closely with acquisitions, development, and architecture staff on residential projects throughout the Seattle/Eastside market.
This position offers exposure to the full real estate development lifecycle and provides strong opportunities for professional growth within a vertically integrated development company.
We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented CAD Drafter / Architectural Drafter to support our acquisitions and in-house architecture teams. The role will focus on preparing site plans, feasibility studies, zoning analysis exhibits, and permit drawings for residential development projects throughout the Seattle/Eastside market.
The ideal candidate has experience with residential architecture, understands local zoning and site constraints, and is comfortable working in a fast-paced environment alongside acquisitions, entitlement, and permitting teams.
Responsibilities
- Work closely with acquisitions team to quickly evaluate project feasibility and development potential
- Prepare and revise CAD drawings, site plans, floor plans, elevations, and feasibility studies
- Assist acquisitions team with yield studies and preliminary site planning during due diligence
- Produce zoning analysis diagrams including setbacks, FAR, lot coverage, parking, height, and access studies
- Coordinate with internal development team, architects, civil engineers, surveyors, and consultants
- Support permit submittals and drawing updates for SFR, DADU, cottage housing, townhome, and small multifamily projects
- Review survey, utility, and topographic information for project constraints and opportunities
Qualifications
- Proficiency in AutoCAD required
- Experience with Revit, SketchUp, or Bluebeam is a plus
- Understanding of residential construction and architectural detailing
- Familiarity with local zoning and permitting processes preferred
- Ability to read surveys, civil plans, and architectural drawings
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously
- Self-starter with strong communication skills and problem-solving ability
Preferred Experience
- Seattle/Eastside residential development experience
- Experience with SFR, DADU, cottage, townhome, or small multifamily projects
- Knowledge of site planning, grading constraints, parking requirements, and permitting workflows
- Familiarity with feasibility studies and entitlement coordination
